1992 - A Think Tank group of women sitting on beach

1992 - New staff and a think tank

A new phase begins with the employment of a part-time Development Officer, the tireless Margaret Howard. She sets up a computer system and recruits and trains volunteers. Joy Ross starts working as the Public Officer, doing everything from taking minutes to writing submissions. She works in this position for a decade.

A Think Tank is held to discuss how to establish a national OWN with women from all states and territories.

Nowra OWN is formed with a strong grounding in community involvement.

History is herstory too.
