Who Are We?
Based at the head office of OWN NSW, Newtown Wellness Group is conducted in the hall surrounded by the community garden.
We are a friendly, diverse bunch of older women who share a desire to live life well.
We recognise that wellness is so much more than good diet and regular exercise. In addition to physical health, our wellness model encompasses mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and environmental wellbeing.
Newtown Wellnness classes are back for Term 4 2020! We are operating within our COVID Safe Plan. Temperatures are taken and all members need to sign in. New Moves and Tai Chi participants need to sign up online to limit numbers. All other classes are walk in. It is lovely to see our members back in classes. Enjoy!
We believe that connection is the currency of wellness. Our program of classes and activities have been developed to build connections— with ourselves, each other, our communities and our planet.
Our members bring a diverse range of skills, experiences and qualities to the group. Everyone is encouraged to contribute in ways that they can. It is the collective contributions of the individual members that create our wholeness.
We warmly invite you to join us as we build wellness, friendships and community.
Classes and activities are held at the Newtown Wellness Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We offer a diverse rsange of activities.
