“Chasing happiness – a conversation on why mental health matters”

No matter our age, happiness is a state of mind which we long to hold on to. Mental health and a sense of well-being are fundamental conditions that influence how we think, feel, relate and interact with others. How can we think differently to overcome the challenges of ageing? Can we or should we chase happiness?

OWN Ambassador Caroline Baum will be asking these questions and more in the conversation with our panel:

· Petrea King – CEO of the Quest for Life Foundation.

· Meg Smith – A/Prof in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Western Sydney & President of Way Ahead: Mental Health Association

Bought to you by the Older Women’s Network and Inner West Council for Mental Health Month.

Women are traditional spinners - of tales, of cloth, or many fine things. May we in OWN continue to spin strong webs of support which create a safety net for older women's emotional and physical wellbeing; and create a sling from which to catapult into the wider community older women's aspirations for a better world.
