Why donate?
Every day, OWN NSW works to keep older women housed, safe, financially secure and connected — and to challenge the policies and attitudes that leave them disadvantaged. Through our Homes for Older Women (HOW) program we help older women facing homelessness find safe, secure housing, and through our advocacy and education we work to end violence and abuse against older women. We do this with a network of dedicated volunteers, and by taking the voices of older women directly to government.
Your gift makes that work possible. Whether it’s a one-off donation, a regular gift, a bequest in your will, or a donation in honour of someone you love, your support helps older women age with dignity, security and respect.
In 2026, OWN NSW was granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, so all donations over $2 are tax-deductible. Please include your email or postal address when you give, so we can send your receipt and thank you properly.
This donation is in memory of my mother, a quiet contributor to helping those who found themselves in challenging times – from supporting asylum seekers with counselling, to providing food, blankets and support to those who were homeless, or starting over in a new home & country having fled violence elsewhere.
Keep up the brilliant work OWN in raising visibility of the rights, contributions and needs of older women. The statistics you have highlighted in your campaign speak volumes about where our society’s attention and priorities lie. There is just not enough support from those in higher places, and wider community. Brick by brick, you’re making a concrete difference to lives of many – well done!
