Charlie's Sweet 16 Story

Portrait of Barbara
I lived in Perth, Western Australia with my mother, and grandmother who lived a few doors down.

I was the first person in my family to go to university; I went as a mature age student. I often say, I went to university to study the meaning of meaning and then I went to art school to study the meaninglessness of meaninglessness.

I did want a husband and children, but I never wanted a house in the suburbs. I felt the status quo was never ever enough.

I do often think I’ve short-circuited myself in my career trajectory.
